Cycling in de Algarve

The varied landscape offers a range of possibilities for cycling enthusiasts. From the reasonably flat coastal strip with orange and olive groves, to small paths in the hills of the Serra. North of São Brás de Alportel is where a cyclist’s dream truly unfolds: long roads, across hills and through valleys with little to no traffic. Even though the hills aren’t all that high, there are plenty of steep stretches that should satisfy even the most demanding cyclist.

The various routes are available via GPS coordinates, and feature descriptions/photos. The local bicycle rental we work with brings the bicycles to our Bed & Breakfast and also picks them up again. The bicycle rental has various types of bicycles available, ranging from touring bikes to mountain bikes and racing bikes, and can provide cyclists with mapped GPS routes.
